Make Your Own Earrings {giveaway}

You guys this is so easy!  Just requires a trip to your craft store and a glue gun.
I went to Hobby Lobby for the earring backings yesterday (they are 50% off right now) and I got the flowers at a scrapbooking store.  Make sure you get non-adhesive backings for this.  This craft would also be cute with vintage buttons too.  Just a thought.
So take your *adorable* (non adhesive) flower embellishments and your earring backings.  Just put a DROP of hot glue on the backing and stick it to your flower.  Presto chango you have earrings!  (or in my case you suddenly have 6 new pairs that would've costed you like $10 each and but instead they were less than a dollar!
Since I have so many pairs now I thought I'd do something for ya'll and give a couple away (so two winners).  I just might also throw in a couple other goodies in the box.  Sounds like a party to me, what do you think?
To enter:
-Leave a comment to enter- anything you want to say is great.

-if you follow me you can have another entry (you guys are all so lovely and everything)

I'll announce the winnerS on Valentines day (Monday the 14th).
ps. I have another giveaway going on on my photo blog.  Check it out!

Hey Connie,

I really like these cute little ideas you come up with. I know a while back you used a picture frame to keep your necklaces from tangling, I used that trick and love it! I can't wait to see what else you come up with. In the mean time, I'm going to go hit up Michaels and see what I can use for earrings as well. You can never have enough.

These are *really* adorable. I've had my eye on a pair really similar for a few months, but since I'm a poor college student I've never let myself buy them. If I don't win, I'm definitely going to make some!

Oh, and by the way... I found your blog awhile ago & I can't remember how. I'm Austin's big sister. I've never met you & I haven't seen Tony in forever so it's been fun to see what a cute family he (and you) have. Your little boys are seriously adorable.

Those earrings are so cute and they look like they have large backings. I gauged my ears (i know I know =( ) and now have a bigger hole than most earrings but these might work!!

I was raised by a woman who always told me if I could make something cheaper than buying it...that's the way to go.

And every time I see these little flower-y earrings/jewelery that is popular right now that's exactly what I think to myself!

Basically...you're a woman after my own heart!

P.S.
Did I mention my mom's name is Connie, too? It's like fate...kinda.

I've seen these all over Etsy and I have a few pairs myself, but I had no idea they were so easy to make! I thought they were made from like molds and goo or something. I didn't know you could buy the flowers pre-made. Too bad I already bought so many pairs from Etsy! I'll have to make some myself!

Which scrap booking store did you get them at?

What scrapbook store? I've been to Oh Scrap, Hobby Lobby, and Roberts and none have the flowers. Help! :)
ConnieB said…
Tiara, do you live in Mesa?! The place I went to is called scrapbooks etc. I'm sure you can find similar things online though. Maybe it was a seasonal item? The scrapbook store I go to changed their merchandise a little depending on the season. Who knows. Well good luck!
Tiara said…
Thank you, Connie! I live in Utah. I'll have to look at some other, maybe smaller, scrapbook stores! :)
